About the role
The Allied Health Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of prescribed Allied Health therapy programs and tasks which encourage independence and/or maintenance of client mobility and functional status.
Duties include but not limited to:
Maintain patient/client and staff confidentiality in compliance with the Privacy Legislation and ACHA privacy policy.
Adhere to corporate and hospital site / business units policies and procedures
Day to day completion of individual programs as directed by the Allied Health Professional in an inpatient setting.
Report liaise and feed back in a timely manner on all operational day to day matters including but not limited to client status advice and improvement of skills.
In line with the position from time to time any other clinical or non-clinical duties/responsibilities as delegated by the Allied Health Professional.

About you
Essential criteria includes:
Certificate IV Allied Health Assistant
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to complete work in a timely professional manner.
Clear and open communication skills.
Strong customer service focus.
Ability to follow directions accurately and work responsibly with or without supervision.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Basic knowledge of clerical and administrative processes.
Demonstrate knowledge of computer literacy.
