Summary: The Shahbaz role is a versatility trained team member who supports the overall wellness of the elderly who live in a house. They are deeply relational and oversee the rhythm of the home to ensure each elder is well known respected and supported in living their days in a way they desire with emphasis on autonomy dignity and love. Shahbaz is called to nurture protect and sustain the elders.
Qualification Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Completion of CNA I training program and valid Nurse Aide I registry listing.
Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
Preferred Qualifications
One year of relevant experience working in long-term care or assisted living preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of basic elder care procedures restorative practices and common medical terminology.
Understanding of infection control sanitation food safety and hygiene protocols in a household setting.
Ability to assist elders with mobility transfers positioning and use of adaptive equipment safely.
Skill in taking recording and reporting vital signs weights and other care indicators accurately.
Capacity to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies incidents or stressful situations.
Strong communication skills to interact clearly and respectfully with elders families teammates and clinical staff.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of elder health and personal information while honoring dignity and autonomy.
Flexibility to follow written and verbal instructions adapt to changing priorities and adjust to household routines.
Demonstrated compassion patience and attentiveness to elder needs with a focus on meaningful engagement.
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to share leadership roles support household operations and collaborate in decision-making.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Promote elder dignity respect and autonomy in daily decision-making.
Build relationships through meaningful conversation activities and shared experiences.
Encourage elder participation in life events and community activities.
Engage with specialists (spiritual care nursing social work dining) when complex needs arise.
Assist elders with daily living needs including bathing dressing grooming oral care hair and nail care shaving continence support and hygiene.
Support restorative and rehabilitative procedures as outlined in care plans.
Record vital signs and measurements accurately.
Safely move transfer and position elders using proper body mechanics and equipment.
Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to posted menus and elder preferences.
Perform daily housekeeping including cleaning laundry and bed-making.
Maintain a safe orderly household environment observing infection control and safety protocols.
Promptly respond to elder calls for assistance and report incidents accidents or suspected abuse.
Participate in ongoing training orientation and professional development.
Serve in household leadership roles (e.g. food housekeeping scheduling care coordination).
Collaborate with teammates to foster a supportive respectful and high-functioning work environment.
Engage in regular team meetings and discussions with the clinical support team (CST) to ensure care quality and consistency.
Physical Demands
Always required to stand walk and assist elders.
Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Frequently required to bend reach push and pull.
Occasionally required to lift or assist in lifting individuals over 100 pounds with team or equipment assistance.
Occasionally required to kneel or crouch.
Visual acuity to observe elder condition prepare and serve food and read care documentation.

Work Environment
Always works indoors in Green House household environment.
Frequently exposed to bodily fluids and communicable diseases; PPE provided.
Frequently works in close proximity to elders experiencing physical emotional or cognitive challenges.
Occasionally exposed to strong odors heat from cooking or noise from household and care equipment.
Occasionally assists with outdoor activities or events in non-clinical areas.
Rarely exposed to hazardous materials outside of approved cleaning and sanitation products.
Never operates motor vehicles or heavy machinery as part of job responsibilities.
