Job Summary

The Research Analyst will support Aledade business goals with analyses that leverage rich data sources including national Medicare claims other payer claims electronic health records and event notification data.

Develop and maintain documentation and reporting frameworks to ensure transparency reproducibility and compliance with internal and external standards.

Provide subject matter expertise in risk analytics offering insights and recommendations to partners within the broader Impact Analytics team. Work cross-functionally with partners across actuary product and engineering organizations to drive insights.

Primary Duties

    • Understand the problem space:
    • Work with teams across Aledade and external partners to understand and clarify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.
    • Assist in analysis execution:
    • Design descriptive statistical analyses to answer key business questions.
    • Design and program code to integrate evaluate and analyze diverse data sources.
    • Perform data analysis and statistical modeling to generate actionable insights and solutions.
    • Assist in communicating analysis results:
    • Assist in working across teams at Aledade to identify implications of analysis results and translate findings into action.
    • Develop analytic products that accurately communicate insights from the data and inspire action.
    • Work closely with engineering and other product partners to enable analytic solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree or 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred KSAs

    • Excellent quantitative analysis abilities grounded in econometrics health services research epidemiology statistics or related field
    • Demonstrated ability to conduct nuanced analyses to produce accurate and unbiased results and tell the story of those results in data visualizations presentations and reports.
    • Attention to detail particularly with version control (e.g. Git) quality assurance documentation and building repeatable processes
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines and priorities.
    • Values people with differing backgrounds and perspectives; supports effective interpersonal and intercultural engagement
    • Well-versed in Equity and Inclusion language concepts and principles (i.e. health disparities social drivers of health implicit bias) and able to communicate and explain them to larger audiences
    • Committed to serving teammates and patients with empathy and respect
    • Ability to manage research projects through the entire life cycle from design through implementation documentation and presentation of findings
    • Experience with causal inference methods including designing and/or conducting experimental and quasi-experimental studies (e.g. randomized trials; regression discontinuity difference-in-differences instrumental variables and matched designs).
    • Thinks beyond their immediate team and contributes to making Aledade holistically better (active engagement in employee resource groups DE&I initiatives book/journal clubs facilitating training leading roundtables etc.)
    • Knowledge of standard methods for measuring health care utilization spending quality and related outcomes

    • Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Occasional walking and lifting may be required.
