Summary & Objective
The Supervisor Engineering and Security provides direction for the Engineering. The Technician Maintenance is responsible for the overall up keep of the facility. The Supervisor Engineering and Security will conduct rounds and perform maintenance on the facility and equipment as needed or directed.
Essential Functions
- Maintain the heating air-conditioning refrigeration and ventilation systems in the facility through basic maintenance or repairs.
- Minor soldering plumbing electrical repairs and minor carpentry repairs to walls (patch and painting) roofs windows or ceilings.
- Unclog toilets sinks and other drainage areas of the plumbing system.
- Clean facility grounds
- Maintain work request through maintenance software
- Orders department supplies as needed and/or ordered
- Keep grounds cleans and free of clutter
- Keeps Director Engineering and Security informed of department needs and activities through written and/or verbal reports.

Other Duties
- Works in any position within the Engineering and Security Department as needed
- Conducts in-services/education as needed or requested
- Provide orientation on a regular basis to new employees.
- Coordinates Engineering/security services with all departments as needed
- Ensure Engineering department and physical facility is prepared for inspections/surveys.
- Promotes customer service and hospitality and responds to and adequately resolves complaints or concerns
- from patient and/or resident or families about engineering services.
- Maintain required mandatory skill updates.
- Comply with all policies local state and federal laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility
- May serve as an interim department leader depending on need
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250 pounds walk climb stair or ladders stand on feet for extended periods of time etc.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee will frequently work in outside weather condition and is frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
- Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts

Knowledge & Experience Requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 - 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration is preferred
- Clear and active Class D Security License to practice in the state of Florida preferred
- Must have knowledge of computer office software
- Must be able to read write and understand the English language
