Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rounds in Kissimmee FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location you will conduct routine patrols stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and respond to concerns with calm clear communication. You will document observations support site procedures and provide strong customer service. This post requires an armed guard card and/or license. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to all visitors staff and vendors at a government location by following site-specific security-related procedures post orders and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points verify identification and/or authorization as required and direct individuals to appropriate screening and/or check-in processes in accordance with site policy.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation coordinating with site personnel and/or public responders and maintaining post coverage as directed.
- Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols incidents and unusual activity and maintain assigned equipment and firearms in compliance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Security Experience 2 Years is required.
- An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
