Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the hospitals mission values and long term goals.
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on workforce trends organizational culture and talent optimization.
Lead initiatives that strengthen employee engagement retention and leadership development.
Drive diversity equity inclusion and belonging (DEIB) initiatives across the organization.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Oversee recruitment strategies to attract top clinical administrative and support talent.
Implement workforce planning models to ensure adequate staffing levels in a 24/7 healthcare environment.
Partner with department leaders to forecast staffing needs and develop pipelines for hard to fill roles.
Employee Relations & Culture
Foster a positive collaborative and accountable workplace culture.
Provide leadership on employee relations matters conflict resolution and performance management.
Ensure consistent application of HR policies and adherence to labor laws and hospital standards.
Serve as a trusted resource for leaders and employees on sensitive or complex HR issues.
Compensation Benefits & HR Operations
Oversee compensation strategy job classification and market competitiveness.
Manage benefits programs including health plans retirement leave administration and wellness initiatives.
Ensure efficient HR operations including onboarding HRIS management and personnel records.
Partner with Finance on budgeting staffing models and labor cost management.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws Joint Commission standards and hospital policies.
Lead HR components of audits accreditation processes and regulatory reviews.
Maintain and update HR policies procedures and the employee handbook.
Oversee workplace safety programs in partnership with Environmental Health & Safety.
Organizational Development & Training
Lead leadership development succession planning and training programs.
Support change management initiatives across the hospital.
Promote continuous learning and professional growth for all staff.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Healthcare Administration or related field required.
Masters degree strongly preferred.
HR certification (SHRM SCP or SPHR) preferred.
Experience
10 years of progressive HR leadership experience preferably in healthcare or a complex regulated environment.
Demonstrated success leading HR teams and partnering with executive leadership.
Experience with labor relations workforce planning and organizational development.
Strong understanding of healthcare staffing challenges and regulatory requirements.
