Our client a leader within the FMCG Food Services requires a General Manager for the Cape Town Branch.
The branch has approx. 300 employees and 5 Direct reports: Sales Managers Financial Manager Operations Manager and a Procurement Manager.
Core purpose of this role is to drive the performance and implement the groups strategy at the branch.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the branchs activities and performance.
- Ensure growth in sales and profit margins ensuring the business shows sustainable growth.
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers suppliers and stakeholders.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with corporate governance legislation and regulations.
- Achieve operational excellence across all areas of the business.
- Foster an environment that supports individual and team success personal development and employee satisfaction.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Tertiary qualification in Business Management (advantageous)
- 5 years Senior Management experience as a Branch/General Managerwithin FMCG or Food Services environment.
- Computer literate with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Solid grasp of financial concepts.
- At least 5 years experience in managing complex teams.
