Job Description

Our client a collaborative and tight-knit team in Dartmouth is seeking an Accounting Process Specialist to support an immediate short-term need. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong Excel skills and a passion for process improvement to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic office environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Work extensively in Excel to support accounting and process activities
• Document current accounting and operational processes
• Assist with the implementation of new and improved processes
• Support preparation and review of financial statements
• Collaborate with team members in a proprietary accounting system
• Contribute to transition readiness as the organization moves to Microsoft Dynamics in the near future

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• Accounting or finance background (diploma degree or equivalent experience)
• Advanced Excel skills (data analysis reconciliation process tracking)
• Experience documenting and improving accounting/finance processes
• Familiarity with financial statement preparation
• Experience with ERP systems; exposure to Microsoft Dynamics considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work on-site in Dartmouth for the duration of the contract
