As a Data Engineer II at JPMorganChase within Corporate Technology you are part of an agile team that works to enhance design and deliver the data collection storage access and analytics solutions in a secure stable and scalable way.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on data engineering concepts and 2 years applied experience
- 5 years in a data-focused role (e.g. Data Analyst Data Engineer Data Strategist) within a technology or engineering environment.
- Strong experience with data acquisition preparation and analysis using tools such as Databricks SQL Python or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with stakeholders.
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements in data workflows.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex data concepts to diverse audiences.
- Advanced at SQL (e.g. joins and aggregations)
- Working understanding of NoSQL databases
- Significant experience with statistical data analysis and ability to determine appropriate tools to perform analysis
- Basic knowledge of data system components to determine controls needed
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience working in large matrixed organizations preferably in financial services or technology.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau QlikView) and cloud data platforms.
- Experience with data governance data quality frameworks and metadata management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter mindset with a passion for data-driven innovation.
