As a Security Officer - High-Visibility Foot Patrol in Lower Manhattan you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants visitors and contractors by following post orders site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas including common spaces parking areas loading docks and perimeter points documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and key building areas for unusual activity verify credentials when required and assist with visitor and delivery direction while helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents alarms and service requests in a calm problem-solving manner; notify building management and/or emergency services as needed and support incident resolution.
• Complete timely reports and logs including patrol documentation incident reports and maintenance or hazard notifications and communicate clearly during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
