About the Role
Were looking for a Sr Manager of UI and Mobile Engineering to help shape the next generation of mobile banking experiences at LendingClub. Youll lead the team responsible for building the engaging high-performance mobile experiences that millions of customers rely on to manage debt avoid fees save money and make smarter financial decisions every day.LendingClub is no longer just a lending company. Were a digital bank with over 5 million members offering a full suite of consumer financial tools checking savings credit-building debt management all with a human touch. Weve acquired two innovative consumer fintechs Tally and Cushion and were making a company-wide AI push to deliver smarter faster more personalized experiences.

What Youll Do
- Lead a high-performing teamof mobile web and backend engineers (1015) focused on delivering intuitive reliable and engaging mobile experiences that directlyimpactcustomer outcomes
- Partner closely with Product Design and AI teamsto create smarter more personalized and data-driven features across debt banking and credit tools
- Own full-cycle development from feature ideation through production deployment using technologies like React Native Swift/Kotlin for mobile React for web and backend services (Java Scala Python)
- Set and uphold high technical standardsfor performance scalability accessibility and secure development and hold the line on code quality
- Mentor coach and hireworld-class engineers building a culture of curiosity ownership and continuous improvement
- Bring cross-functional alignment working across Design Risk Security and Compliance to ensure we ship fastandresponsibly
- Champion instrumentation and experimentation making sure every experience we ship can be measured learned from and improved
- Continuously refine how we build adapting our delivery practices to scale cleanly without losing speed soul or focus
About You
- 8 years of hands-on software experience with 3 years leading teams in high-scale consumer-facing environments (preferably fintech or regulated)
- Solid web development chops in React and JavaScript extra points for hands-on React Native experience building mobile apps
- You care deeply about UX and performance not just what your app does but how it feels
- Youveled engineers through ambiguity and helped them grow withouthand-holding
- You think like a product owner not just a delivery lead. You ask why before what and what before how
- Yourea builder at heart: you move fast cut scope thoughtfully and take pride in seeing something go live
- Yourefluent in experimentation A/B testing analytics behavioral metrics and want to knowwhatsworking and why
- Youreexcited about what AI can do inside the mobile experience and how it can elevate our speed our personalization and our magic
- And finally:yourerelentlessly curious. You solve problems for fun. You explore tools and build side projects even when no one asks
Work Location
San Francisco
The above locations are eligible offices for this locations have been determined to foster in-person collaboration with this roles team or the related business lines. We utilize a hybrid work model and our teams are in-office Tuesdays Wednesdays and -person attendance is essential for this roles success and remote placement will not be offers relocation based on actual job level.
Time Zone Requirements
Primarily PT
While the position will primarily work local hours LendingClub is headquartered in Pacific Time and our ideal candidate will be flexible working across time zones when necessary.
Travel Requirements
As needed travel to LendingClub offices and/or other locations as needed.
Compensation
The target base salary range for this position is 00. The base salary of the role will be determined by job-related knowledge experience education skills and location. Base salary is just one part of LendingClubs Total Rewards package. You may also be eligible for long-term awards (equity) and an annual bonus (which is based on company performance employee performance and eligible earnings).
