Job Description
As a Security Guard - Flex Unarmed Foot Rounds in Pier 17 you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including contacting on-site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location including interior spaces loading and delivery areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access and monitor foot and vehicle traffic as assigned verifying credentials directing visitors and/or drivers to the appropriate areas and documenting access activity per site procedures.
- Complete routine reports and incident documentation communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts and follow instructions for handling lost property disturbances and other service requests.
Minimum Requirements:
- New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
- Loss Prevention is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
