CONTEXT OF THE JOB:

Under the limited direction of the Director the Associate Director of Change Management plays a strategic role in enabling institutional transformation and building organizational resilience. This position leads efforts to support leaders and teams through change with a strong emphasis on coaching stakeholder engagement and change addition the incumbent contributes to leadership development programming ensuring alignment with broader organizational effectiveness goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Change Management

  • Lead the design and execution of change management strategies for institutional initiatives including reorganizations and strategic shifts.
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis readiness assessments and impact evaluations to inform change planning.
  • Develop and implement communication and engagement plans to support successful adoption and sustainability.
  • Serve as a change coach to leaders and project teams helping them navigate resistance and build change capability.
  • Monitor and evaluate change efforts providing feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Coaching & Consultation

  • Provide individual and team coaching to support leadership effectiveness change agility and team dynamics.
  • Facilitate coaching conversations that build self-awareness strategic thinking and resilience.
  • Act as a thought partner to leaders navigating complex organizational challenges.
  • Support the development of a coaching culture across the institution through training tools and peer learning.

Leadership Development (Supportive Role)

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of leadership development programs with a focus on change leadership and coaching skills.
  • Support cohort-based learning experiences and workshops as a facilitator or subject matter expert.
  • Assist in evaluating leadership development initiatives and integrating feedback into future programming.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to align leadership development with institutional strategy and talent needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Organizational Development Human Resources Psychology Education or related field and seven years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading change initiatives and coaching leaders through transition.
  • Strong facilitation coaching and consulting skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Experience in a higher education environment preferred.
  • Certification in change management (e.g. Prosci Kotter) and coaching (e.g. ICF Gallup Hogan) preferred.
  • Familiarity with leadership development frameworks and tools preferred.
