POSITION SUMMARY:

The Dean of Students provides support for the administrative and instructional functions of the campus or department by performing a wide variety of administrative duties which include addressing student discipline matters facilitating parent/community relations and supervising and coordinating assigned student activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate in the appropriate subject area.
  • Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Bachelors Degree or higher.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar position preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrates organizational ability.
  • Clear and professional communication skills (verbal and written).

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand and talk or hear and sometimes walk and sit. While performing the duties of this job the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 20 lbs such as boxes supplies etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material and the ability to adjust focus close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision and depth perception.

Occasional travel may be required for site visits meetings trainings and/or conferences. Locations may vary and may require overnight stays.
