Job Summary
ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizers Global Identity Security and Access Management (ISAM) team plays a critical role in safeguarding the companys digital assets protecting everything from our innovative scientific research to our manufacturing operations and ensuring the security of the data we rely on to serve patients worldwide. As part of our strategic commitment to enhancing security posturethe ISAM team is embarking on a multi-year modernization and transformation effort.
Strong identity security and access controls are vital to the security and operational resilience of Pfizer. We are seeking a back-end developer to play a key role in building secure scalable and high-performing identity services. This role requires deep technical expertise in back-end development cloud-native services and modern software design.
This role reports to the Senior Manager Identity Lifecycle Management and requires strong communication skills and a strong drive for accountability ownership and pride in work.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Design develop and maintain back-end services and APIs for identity and access management platforms.
Implement best practices for performance scalability security and code quality.
Collaborate with front-end engineers QA testers and architects to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Participate in peer code reviews architecture discussions and technical design sessions.
Integrate applications with authentication authorization and directory services.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in information technology computer science software engineering or related discipline.
3 years of professional experience in back-end development.
Strong proficiency in one or more back-end languages/frameworks (.Net JAVA Spring Boot Python).
Solid understanding of REST APIs microservices architecture and event-driven design.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (OracleDB PostgreSQL MongoDB DynamoDB etc.)
Strong understanding of cloud services (AWS and Azure).
Prior experience integrating legacy systems into SailPoint a bonus.
Experience in cybersecurity or identity and access management solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (JIRA Confluence etc.).
Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
