Playbox Nursery require a Nursery Manager.

Due to the retirement of our Nursery Manager Playbox Nursery which operates under the umbrella of St Johns Methodist Church is seeking an amazing Early Years Practitioner to provide outstanding professional leadership and management of the nursery to join our dedicated happy team inthis preschool setting.

The job is permanent the hours are 1209 annually. Contact time is spread over 4 days Monday to Thursday for 38 weeks a year (term time only) the rest are paid noncontact time. Salary will be 16.50 an hour.

Key responsibilities include:

• lead and manage the nursery to promote high standards of care learning and development

• ensure the children are offered rich varied and developmentally appropriate learning opportunities in line with EYFS

• being responsible for staff supervision to develop the staff team and their skills

• being responsible for contributing tochildrenslearning journeys

• be a dedicated practitioner who wants to support preschool children to develop socially emotionally and intellectually

• have high expectations of learning and behaviour or children and staff

• enjoy being part of a supportive pro-active and energetic team

• undertake strategic medium and long-term planning for the nursery.

Person Specification includes:

• to have good working knowledge of the EYFS statutory standards and Safeguarding

• holda minimum of level 3 OFSTED appropriate Childcarequalification with the desire to obtain further management skills

• proven management experience in a high-quality nursery setting

• experience of planning an engaging curriculum for children to develop their learning as well as their social and emotional skills

• have strong staff development and leadership skills

• foster a culture of collaboration accountability and positivity amongst staff

• good interpersonal skills being able to communicate well both verbally and in writing with peers childrens parents/carersand otherprofessionals.
