About the Role
We are looking for a dependable and detailfocused Domestic Assistant to join our team at Milbanke HFE. You will play an important role in maintaining a clean safe and welcoming environment for residents staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work and be committed to delivering high standards of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties across the building including communal areas offices bathrooms corridors and resident areas.
- Vacuum sweep mop dust and polish surfaces as required.
- Clean bathrooms and toilets to a high standard ensuring hygiene and safety at all times.
- Replace consumables such as soap towels and toilet paper.
- Empty bins and manage waste disposal in line with organisational procedures.
- Follow designated cleaning schedules and maintain appropriate cleaning records.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with training.
- Report maintenance issues or concerns promptly to the management team.
- Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and residents.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable punctual and professional.
- Awareness of health and safety and infectioncontrol practices.
Desirable:
- Previous cleaning or domestic experience.
- Experience in a care or healthcare environment.
