The role of the Research Analyst is to support and advance investment manager due diligence within Marquette by the Alternatives research team with a primary focus on real assets. The Research Analyst will conduct fund due diligence analysis market research and will prepare investment recommendations for Marquette clients and consultants.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research across a wide range of real asset funds to support investment decision-making and risk assessment
- Provide ongoing oversight for existing real assets managers with current Marquette client exposure
- Prepare detailed reports on investment managers for both internal and external client use
- Present research findings and manager due diligence at internal and external meetings
- Analyze market factors influencing the real assets market landscape
- Actively participate in weekly Alternative Investment Manager Committee meetings
- Represent Marquette at investment conferences and annual meetings
- Develop quantitative and qualitative analysis to support original Marquette research
- Monitor and analyze overall market factors influencing the asset classes
- Serve as a reliable real assets/private markets resource for consultants
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with minimum 5-10 years investment-related experience
- Direct experience in manager research specifically within real assets investments required
- CFA CAIA or MBA preferred
- Proven client service skills and ability to present information effectively and professionally
- Ability to formulate and communicate high conviction recommendations both internally and externally
- Strong critical thinking skills: self-starter with excellent follow-up abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to work independently to meet deadlines manage multiple priorities and adapt positively to changes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to quickly learn new software applications and tools
$90000 - $130000 a year
The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicants education experience skills abilities geographic location internal equity and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan which includes a target bonus of 15% of base salary.
