Employment Type: Full-TimeSalary: $About the OpportunityOur client a leading national business law firm is seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join its Vancouver office. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a sophisticated corporate practice supporting lawyers on a broad range of transactional and corporate maintenance matters.The successful candidate will play a key role in managing corporate records coordinating filings and assisting with corporate transactions for a diverse client base. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and enjoys working independently while collaborating with a high-performing legal team.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:- Preparing and filing corporate documentation for transactions including incorporations extra-provincial registrations amendments dissolutions and other corporate filings
- Drafting corporate resolutions and documents relating to share issuances and transfers dividends redemptions director changes and registered office updates
- Maintaining and updating corporate records and minute books ensuring compliance with applicable legislation
- Attending to online filings with relevant corporate registries and regulatory bodies
- Conducting corporate searches and assisting with due diligence reviews
- Reviewing minute books and preparing documents to address deficiencies
- Supporting lawyers and clients with day-to-day corporate matters and transactional documentation
- Managing corporate databases and ensuring accurate record maintenance
- Responding to inquiries from lawyers clients and external stakeholders regarding corporate records and filings
These tasks typically require the ability to understand corporate transactions manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a deadline-driven environment.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will bring:- Completion of a Paralegal Diploma or Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a corporate paralegal or corporate services role
- Strong working knowledge of British Columbia and Federal corporate legislation
- Experience maintaining corporate records and minute books
- Proficiency with corporate database systems (e.g. ALF or similar)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate legal documentation
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a professional services environment
