Tessera is seeking a Project Coordinator who combines technical skillslike project management cost estimating and system maintenancewith a positive affirming approach to teamwork. We value not just expertise but also the power of encouragement to inspire collaboration and success on every project.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for preparing information drawings plans and specifications to complete construction and repair projects.
- Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
- Manage projects as assigned and utilize the Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Confer with engineers architects customers contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time cost materials and labor estimates.
- Consult with clients vendors and/or foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning organizing and scheduling work.
- Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
- Assess cost effectiveness of products projects or services and track actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
- Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
- Develop and implement maintenance programs for complex systems.
- Develop and implement technical training programs for operators and maintenance personnel.
- Monitor operations and maintenance of complex systems to ensure proper operations/maintenance.
- Perform life cycle and energy analysis for various facilities systems and components.
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer PMP certification and IFMA CFM preferred.
- Bachelors degree in general studies/engineering/management preferred.
- 5 years experience with construction materials methods practices and costs required.
- Ability to use Excel Word and Outlook daily.
- Understanding of terminology and practices of mechanical electrical architectural and civil engineering design and construction management preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to reach kneel walk stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion reaching lifting kneeling and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time climbing in and out of a vehicle and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
- Valid state drivers license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tesseras insurance carrier.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
