Position Overview

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support CI/CD automation and cloud infrastructure management within a State Government agency. The selected candidate will design and implement automated deployment pipelines while ensuring application reliability and performance. This role requires hands-on experience with cloud environments containerization and infrastructure automation. The ideal resource will demonstrate the ability to streamline development workflows and improve system reliability through automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Automate application deployments across multiple environments.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement infrastructure as code using ARM or Terraform templates.
• Monitor system performance and implement proactive alerting mechanisms.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize build and release cycles.
• Troubleshoot deployment failures and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance policies.
• Document deployment processes and system configurations.
• Participate in on-call rotation if required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years of DevOps or infrastructure automation experience.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell Bash or Python).
• Experience implementing monitoring tools.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting government modernization projects.
• Experience implementing security automation tools.
• Certifications in Azure or AWS.
