Position Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support CI/CD automation and cloud infrastructure management within a State Government agency. The selected candidate will design and implement automated deployment pipelines while ensuring application reliability and performance. This role requires hands-on experience with cloud environments containerization and infrastructure automation. The ideal resource will demonstrate the ability to streamline development workflows and improve system reliability through automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Automate application deployments across multiple environments.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement infrastructure as code using ARM or Terraform templates.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive alerting mechanisms.
- Collaborate with developers to optimize build and release cycles.
- Troubleshoot deployment failures and performance bottlenecks.
- Ensure compliance with security and governance policies.
- Document deployment processes and system configurations.
- Participate in on-call rotation if required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5 years of DevOps or infrastructure automation experience.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell Bash or Python).
- Experience implementing monitoring tools.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting government modernization projects.
- Experience implementing security automation tools.
- Certifications in Azure or AWS.
