Position Overview

We are seeking an Oracle DBA to support enterprise database environments within a State Government agency. The selected candidate will manage database performance implement backup and recovery processes and ensure high availability. Experience working in compliance-driven environments is required.

Key Responsibilities

Install configure and maintain Oracle databases.
Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
Develop backup and recovery procedures using RMAN.
Implement security patches and access controls.
Troubleshoot database failures and performance bottlenecks.
Support application deployments requiring database updates.
Document database configurations and change management processes.
Ensure compliance with security standards.
Participate in disaster recovery planning.
Collaborate with development teams.

Required Qualifications

5 years of Oracle DBA experience.
Experience managing Oracle 12c/19c environments.
Experience implementing backup and recovery strategies.
Strong performance tuning skills.
Experience supporting enterprise systems.
Strong documentation skills.
Ability to troubleshoot critical incidents.
Experience working in structured governance environments.
Strong communication skills.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting public sector agencies.
Experience with hybrid cloud database environments.
