Structural Engineer Commercial About the Job:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Structural Engineer to join our Architectural Engineering team in Wichita. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who wants to play a meaningful role in shaping communities through impactful building design.

In this role you will contribute to the structural design of diverse and high-visibility projects including educational facilities healthcare environments hospitality developments office buildings churches and commercial and industrial structures. You will collaborate closely with architects engineers and clients to deliver safe innovative and efficient structural solutions.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving values teamwork and wants to grow within a respected and well-established engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and development of structural systems for a variety of building types.
Prepare detailed design drawings electronic models specifications and technical reports.
Perform structural calculations for steel concrete and other building materials.
Support material selection and structural system evaluation.
Contribute to project proposals client interviews and presentations.
Attend client meetings to ensure designs align with project goals and expectations.
Provide leadership guidance and technical direction to production staff.
Conduct site observations and prepare related reports.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
3 6 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Kansas preferred or actively pursuing licensure.
Proficiency in structural drafting software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
Experience with structural analysis software such as RISA STAAD Enercalc or similar.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Ability to work independently exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to comply with company and client safety and drug/alcohol programs.
