Release Train Engineer (RTE) Scaled Agile Delivery Lead

The Release Train Engineer (RTE) / Scaled Agile Delivery Lead is a senior servant-leader responsible for planning execution and continuous improvement across a product area operating at scale. This role orchestrates Big Room Planning (BRP) drives execution predictability optimizes flow of value and coaches teams and leaders on Agile DevOps and modern product delivery practices.

The role acts as the single point of orchestration for planning execution and improvement across multiple teams ensuring alignment to business objectives technical excellence and predictable delivery.

• Prepare facilitate and continuously improve Big Room Planning (BRP) and Inspect & Adapt (I&A) events
• Orchestrate post BRP activities including outcome summarization dependency alignment and commitment tracking
• Drive product-level planning cadences such as Monthly Planning and other scaled planning events
• Enable strong cross functional collaboration across Product Engineering Architecture and Business stakeholders

• Drive and sustain execution rhythms & routines across teams (as defined by scaling events)
• Track and manage progress against committed objectives and delivery outcomes
• Promote continuous delivery DevOps maturity and technical excellence including:
  • AI tools adoption
  • DORA metrics
  • Engineering and technology initiatives
• Proactively manage dependencies impediments risks and escalations across teams
• Introduce and facilitate additional execution practices to increase maturity and delivery effectiveness

• Own and manage the end to end feature backlog across the product area
• Measure and optimize flow of value using product and delivery metrics
• Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to reduce bottlenecks and improve throughput

• Strategize and drive continuous improvement initiatives across:
  • Processes
  • Toolsets
  • Metrics
  • Delivery and engineering practices
• Act as the primary point of contact for workstream-level implementations and transformations

• Coach Product Managers Scrum Masters Engineers and Leaders on:
  • Agile and Product Operating Models
  • SDLC and execution best practices
  • Time tracking ECM TCM and Annual Planning
• Ensure role clarity and adherence to established frameworks such as:
  • Product Operating Model (POM)
  • Agile Playbook
  • RDL and organizational guidelines

• Establish and leverage dashboards and metrics to drive predictable execution within defined guardrails
• Track and report on delivery effectiveness including:
  • Objectives predictability
  • CI / CO achievement
  • Roadmap delivery health
• Use data to guide decision-making and continuous improvement

• Strong experience in Scaled Agile environments (e.g. SAFe Large Scale Scrum or equivalent)
• Proven facilitation of Big Room / PI Planning and Inspect & Adapt events
• Deep understanding of Agile delivery DevOps CI/CD and flow metrics
• Experience driving cross team execution and dependency management
• Strong coaching facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• Data-driven mindset with hands-on experience using delivery and flow metrics
