Project Overview

Client is seeking a Senior Solution Manager to lead and oversee multiple technical initiatives aligned with SAFe practices and the organizations Initiative Management framework.

This role partners closely with IT delivery leaders to ensure lifecycle compliance drive transparency across solution delivery manage risks and issues and provide executive-level reporting. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who brings structure clarity and continuous process improvement to complex technical programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee multiple related technical initiatives following SAFe practices.
  • Partner with IT delivery leaders to ensure adherence to lifecycle best practices within Marriotts Initiative Management framework.
  • Consolidate solution-level updates and maintain a centralized risk and issue log driving resolution as needed.
  • Manage recurring reporting cadences for key stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Provide clear visibility into solution delivery status risks and required leadership support.
  • Establish and track portfolio-level KPIs and OKRs aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with delivery leaders to develop and maintain a multi-year solution roadmap.
  • Coordinate quarterly planning efforts across initiatives.
  • Provide insights into enterprise portfolio Kanban flow and monitor delivery progress.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to plan track and manage IT budgets and actuals.

Required Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience leading IT solutions or programs within Agile/SAFe and/or Waterfall environments.
  • Proven ability to build and manage strong relationships across IT and business stakeholders.
  • Experience leading cross-functional matrixed and sourced technical or product teams.
  • Demonstrated success resolving conflicts and driving stakeholder alignment.
  • Experience developing performance management processes and measurable metrics.
  • Strong executive-level presentation and communication experience.
  • Experience with SAFe and PPM tools such as Jira Confluence ServiceNow or similar platforms.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience/certifications.
  • SAFe Agilist (SA) certification required.
  • PMP CSM or other related certifications preferred.
  • Graduate degree is a plus.
