Scope of Project

The Quality Assurance Tester Advanced will be assigned to projects for the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) the Medicaid Agency for South Carolina. This is a rebid position supporting Medicaid system testing initiatives.

The consultant will perform advanced QA testing for small to large enterprise healthcare projects ensuring compliance system reliability and adherence to established governance standards.

Responsibilities:

Perform testing on technical solutions to isolate and resolve issues
Develop test plans QA and/or UAT processes and detailed test cases
Translate business requirements or policy documentation into test scenarios
Build test cases and scenarios into test systems
Execute functional regression negative and usability testing
Lead quality assessments to identify defects and security gaps
Publish status reports of open issues and communicate findings to Development teams
Adhere to established testing governance policies and best practices
Participate in reviews walkthroughs and inspections

Required/Preferred Skills:

Required:

3 years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios
3 years building test cases and scenarios into test systems
Experience documenting and executing test activities
Ability to publish status reports and articulate testing gaps to development teams

Preferred:

5 years large enterprise or e-business systems experience
Deep knowledge of healthcare operations (Medicaid preferred)
Proficiency in Atlassian tools (JIRA and Confluence)
Experience working in both Waterfall (SDLC) and Agile environments
