Position Description:
- The Enterprise Network Systems Administrator (or Network Administrator) (ENSA) works under the direction of a Principal Network Systems Administrator (PNSA) Supervisor who manages and oversees all aspects of work for the Enterprise Network.
- The ENSA job is to make sure that company networks align with business goals and objectives as well as the ability to problem solve and think critically.
- The ENSA is responsible for overseeing an organizations computer systems or database networks to ensure proper maintenance and security.
- The ENSA applies their information technology expertise to their employers computer systems.
- The ENSA duties include working with other network professionals and IT staff to update cyber security measures install hardware or software devices and troubleshoot problems.
- The ENSA also works with company employees to identify network or computer system needs overseeing the installation of new hardware or software and using employee feedback to isolate issues.
- The ENSA is responsible for maintaining computer networks and systems including software mainframes VPNs routers and other physical hardware; installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues; updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected; monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks; communicating networking issues to other employees and management especially in training new users; and fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems.
- The ENSA may also be responsible for creating instruction manuals for employees to navigate company networks.

Additional Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Strong customer service interpersonal and detail-oriented skills. Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft suite including Excel Word Outlook and Visio. Effective reading written and oral communication fluency in English.
Experience Required:
- This classification must have a minimum of five (5) years of broad knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols have computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware and increasingly responsible Information Technology skills to include Cisco competencies; must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last four (4) in the capacity of a Network Systems Administrator or similar role; must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience within the last four (4) years in a security monitoring role.
Additional Experience:
- 3 years of experience utilizing complex large-scale network infrastructure devices including Cisco enterprise or carrier-class routers switches ASA firewalls Palo Alto firewalls wireless controllers/access points and Cisco Nexus switches.
- 2 years of experience utilizing enterprise-level monitoring tools such as OpenNMS Cisco Prime Infrastructure Cisco Prime Collaboration NetScout nGenius Route Explorer Elastic Search SCOM vROPS Secure Works Dynatrace Uptime Robot IBM Tivoli WebCTRL CACTI StruxureWare and Cherwell system.
- 2 years of experience using Windows servers Linux servers and IBM Mainframe z/OS operating systems.
Education Required
- This classification requires the possession of a bachelors degree in an IT-related or Computer Science field.
- Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Education:
- Certification of CompTIA Network CompTIA Security Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Additional Information:
- Local candidates only. This position will be a hybrid schedule after the selected candidate completes onsite training consisting of 4 to 8 weeks.
- This position is also a 24/7 IT enterprise environment shifts include morning swing and graveyard selected candidate must be willing to accept different shifts.
- Morning Shift: 6:00am to 2:30pm Swing Shift: 2:00pm to 10:30pm Grave Shift: 10:00pm to 6:30am (Next Day)
