About the role

We are looking to hire a Technology Director Digital Assets to lead the technical vision architecture and engineering direction of our digital assets initiatives.

This is not a program management project management orchestration or pure people leadership role.

We are specifically looking for a recognized DLT / blockchain technology expert who brings strong architectural depth across modern digital asset platforms and can shape the future-state technology stack for blockchain-based solutions in a regulated financial environment.

The right candidate will combine deep expertise in DLT technologies tokenisation models smart contracts interoperability patterns blockchain platform design and next-generation distributed architectures with the ability to translate complex concepts into scalable secure and business-relevant solutions. This direction is consistent with the hiring need to prioritize a technically strong DLT leader rather than a coordination-heavy profile.

You will act as the senior technical authority for digital assets working across innovation engineering architecture product and business stakeholders to define and drive the right technical choices from concept through production.

Key responsibilities

• DLT and Digital Asset Architecture Leadership
• Define the target architecture for digital asset and blockchain-based initiatives.
• Lead technology choices across DLT platforms smart contract frameworks tokenisation models digital asset lifecycle design and interoperability mechanisms.
• Evaluate modern blockchain architectures across public private hybrid and permissioned environments.
• Shape architectural principles for scalability resilience security compliance and maintainability in digital asset platforms.
• Advise on technical design choices related to tokenised assets tokenised cash settlement models programmability and on-chain/off-chain integration patterns.
  

Technical Authority and Engineering Credibility

• Act as the senior technical reference point for blockchain and DLT topics across the organisation.
• Challenge solution designs with architects engineers and vendors using strong first-principles understanding.
• Bring hands-on architectural judgment across smart contracts distributed systems ledger models APIs event-driven patterns cloud-native architecture and secure integration design.
• Provide deep technical guidance on emerging blockchain solution patterns including interoperability atomic settlement digital identity linkage programmability and ledger interaction models.

Innovation to Production

• Support the evolution of use cases from early-stage innovation and proof of concept through to production-grade architecture.
• Ensure digital asset solutions move beyond concept into scalable secure and compliant implementation.
• Translate technical possibilities into practical architecture roadmaps and decision frameworks.
