DescriptionThe Poker Cashier position will welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner and finalize cash payments at the Poker Room.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the makeup and verification of bankrolls for all money-handling departments
- Operates assigned bank or window according to approved procedures.
- Verifies previous count sheet from assigned bank or window.
- Counts down the bank at end of each shift and reconciles to the cage accountability.
- As needed can assist the Impressment team for that gaming day in transporting currency and chips/tokens to and from cashier cages with appropriate documentation.
- Maintains Ticket Redemption Kiosks and Self-Service Centers.
- Coordinates the timely seating of poker patrons.
- Operates computerized and/or manual poker seating reservation system.
- Exchange currency and chips at the poker tables.
- Accepts new applications into the Total Rewards program.
- Performs exchanges with Poker Dealers to fill table banks in accordance with the approved Rules of Play Internal Controls Standards and Louisiana Land-Based Casino Gaming Division Rules and Regulations.
- Communicates all pertinent information to Poker Supervisor or Poker Manager.
- Seat customers when necessary.
- Washes and resorts cards.
- Assists in updating player waiting lists.
- Tournament registration
Qualifications- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Previous money-handling experience and a proven proficiency with computers and 10 key adding machine is required.
- Must be able to enter data read and interpret output from a computer.
- Must have good math abilities.
- Must have excellent human relations skills.
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
PHYSICAL MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to bend reach kneel twist and grip items while working in assigned areas and must be able to stand for entire length of shift.
- Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment including a 10 key adding machine PC computers fax machine and photocopier.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
- Must be able to read write speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
