Job Summary

Job Opportunity: Locum to Perm - Physician - Pathology

Join a dynamic hospital-based pathology lab in Syracuse NY! We are seeking a skilled Pathologist to cover our team for a 3 to 6 month period due to a shortage. This facility features a state-of-the-art laboratory equipped with modern tools such as a Thin prep integrated imager and advanced cryostats. The practice environment supports a collaborative team of experienced physicians and specialists ensuring high-quality patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct general anatomic pathology evaluations including surgical pathology and cytology.
Perform frozen section analyses as required.
Manage approximately 13000 surgical specimens and 3000 cytology specimens annually.
Participate in maintaining laboratory protocols and compliance with regulations.
Utilize EPIC/Beaker documentation systems efficiently.

Qualifications:

AP Board Certified - REQUIRED
Active NY State license - REQUIRED
A self-query NPDB report (valid for the current month) - REQUIRED
25k conversion fee - REQUIRED

License and Certification Requirements:

Valid New York State Medical License - REQUIRED
