Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: 1 year experience OR 1 year coursework/training in fisheries management natural resources biology and/or agriculture.

Preferred Qualification: Bachelors degree in wildlife fisheries natural resources or biology. Applicants with Pesticide Applicators license and Class A CDL license with O endorsement preferred. Drivers license required.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of wildlife habitat management principles goals and objectives. Ability to communicate effectively work with little supervision and with a variety of staff. Computer skills (Excel Word ArcMap/GIS) highly desirable. Knowledge of and ability to operate tractors All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) chainsaws and farm equipment.

JOB DUTIES:
Under general direction of Northeast Region Superintendent and area Park Superintendents the position will assist in the implementation of a wide-variety of land management activities. These activities will include prescribed burning control of noxious weeds/invasive species woodland management seeding seed harvest and related conservation practices. Position will assist with entering data creating maps creating plans ArcMap/ArcGIS.
