Job Summary

Department: Ballpark Entertainment

Reports to: Ballpark Entertainment Manager

Classification: Part-Time/Non-Exempt (Seasonal)

Summary/Objective:

Camera Operator will control cameras and equipment at Space Cowboys games/special events for MiLB TV as well as cams for in-game promotions. They will be required to capture specific shots during a game handle a portable camera to capture action close-ups and interviews or use a stationary camera for specific in-game shots.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Setup and breakdown of Camera
Shooting pre-game and post-game events and in-game promotions (fan cams on-field games etc.)
Shooting in-game action
Taking direction from the technical director

Education and/or Experience & Skills:

Experience operating a video camera
Experience operating a tripod
Experience with basic organization of wires and cables
Able to pay attention to the game and know what is going on
Basic communication with your technical director and other managers/operators
Knowledge on basic camera terms (pan tilt zoom etc.)
Knowledge on baseball and how the game is played

Work Environment

The position will perform work in a stadium office and local community environment where noise/crowd levels greatly vary. The position is subject to varying temperatures and weather extremes.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
Ability to stand for entire length of shift.
Ability to walk up and down stairs frequently.
Ability to be in the heat for long periods of time.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours evenings weekends and holidays.
