Description
Lockton is recruiting for a placing broker to join our team in a role providing programme design placement marketing and consultancy services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage client market and underwriter relationships at an operational level.
- Understand clients risk profile business needs and exposures to assist in providing advice on coverage programme pricing and retention strategy.
- Assist in overseeing the preparation and issuance of appropriate coverage documentation including wordings and placement slips within agreed contract certainty deadlines.
- Preparing market submissions for new and renewal business.
- Identify and manage the use of other Lockton resources/specialist teams.
- Assist with the resolution of service issues with insurers and other third-party providers.
- Attend Client Strategy Meetings where required.
- Provide with oversight technical reviews (where identified) of insurance programmes for clients making recommendations for change where deemed relevant.
- Maintain a current knowledge of cover written by the major insurers.
- Keep abreast of insurance market developments.
- Constantly monitor the market in order to consider the most appropriate placement strategy for Lockton.
- Provide support in drafting reports/presentations/bulletins for use both internally and externally.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in placing binders business ideally with experience in North American business
- Growth mindset and the drive to play an important role alongside the team in running and growing the book
- Excellent communication skills and strong market relationships
- Analytical skills to interpret data and analyses to enable effective broking
