Job Summary

The Opportunity: Scale the Global Engine

LMI Technologies is the global leader in 3D scanning and inspection. We have dominated our niche for over a decade and we are now standing at our most exciting frontier: disrupting the 2D Smart Camera market.

We are looking for a strategic architect to lead our high-performing global sales organization of 58 professionals including four regional managers a 12-person sales operations team and dedicated training specialists. This is a role for a leader who wants to move mountains by synchronizing world-class engineering with aggressive global market expansion.

Work Authorization & Location Requirements:We are seeking candidates who currently hold valid unrestricted work authorization for either Canada or the United States. We will consider applicants residing in or willing to relocate to one of the following strategic regions:
  • Vancouver BC (Burnaby HQ)
  • Seattle / Bellevue WA
  • San Jose / San Francisco CA
  • Denver CO / Salt Lake City UT
Operational Constraints:Due to the global scope of this position and the requirement for significant synchronization with our Burnaby Headquarters candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Time Zone Alignment: Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule that overlaps with Pacific Standard Time (PST) for a minimum of 6 hours daily.
  • Travel Accessibility: Residency within close proximity to a major international airport to facilitate the required 50% global travel to regional teams and key customers.
Compensation: Performance-focused structure with a 60% Base / 40% Variable split

The Role: Strategic Architect & Commercial Leader
  • Market Expansion: Lead the charge in capturing the high-volume potential of the 2D smart camera market significantly broadening LMIs addressable global footprint.
  • Technical Partnership: Serve as the critical liaison to Product Management and R&D leveraging market intelligence to help define future product roadmaps that the market cant ignore.
  • Revenue Excellence: Own the global sales forecast and P&L focusing on revenue quality contribution margin improvement and strategic product mix.
  • Channel Mastery: Direct the global channel strategyDistributors SIs and OEMsto maximize market share and exercise senior authority on high-value contracts.
  • High-Performance Culture: Mentor a team of elite professionals where accountability is driven through transparent data and a commitment to exceeding growth targets.
Who You Are
  • The Technical Strategist: You hold an Engineering or Commerce degree and possess at least 10 years of professional sales leadership experience.
  • The Industry Expert: You have a working knowledge of both 2D and 3D machine vision. You are likely already familiar with LMIs ecosystem and ready to leverage that knowledge.
  • The Global Diplomat: You possess deep cross-cultural competence and thrive in an environment that requires 50% international travel to engage with teams and partners.
  • The Data-Driven Leader: You are expert-level in using technology and CRM infrastructure to optimize revenue intelligence and resolve systemic sales funnel challenges.
  • The Collaborative Partner: You have the emotional intelligence to build bridges quickly and the technical depth to remain credible when selling technology to engineers.
