DESCRIPTION:
Join our team as a Senior Skilled Trades Professional and make a meaningful impact in supporting critical manufacturing this role youll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing sophisticated facility systems and equipment in a GMP environment. Youll troubleshoot repair and perform preventive maintenance on critical systems including HVAC water purification compressed gases and specialized manufacturing equipment. This position offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise while contributing to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer. Youll work collaboratively with engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and regulatory compliance while having opportunities to mentor colleagues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Location/Division Specific Information

St. Louis MO / Drug Substance Division - The Drug Substance Division is one of the five divisions that make up the Pharma Services Group. We specialize in both small and large molecule development and commercial drug substance services. This allows us to serve the needs of Small/Emerging Mid-Sized and Large Pharma sectors globally.

Work Schedule: 1st Shift Maintenance Technicians works 6:00AM - 2:30PM

Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician 3

Reports to: Facilities Supervisor

Group / Division: Facilities / Engineering

Position Location: St Louis MO

Key Responsibilities:

Associates will operate maintain & fix all production equipment associated within the department to prevent and maintain HVAC mechanical & electrical breakdowns following safety & quality standards. Assist others in electrical repair in a manufacturing plant. Preferred candidate experience with industrial mechanical electrical computer systems. Knowledge of & capable of performing technical repairs (HVAC systems electrical repair machining welding tasks high pressure gases).

Knowledge of electrical installation & construction AC/DC motor drives gearboxes hydraulics & pneumatics systems. Knowledge of or be willing and able to train in Maintenance Systems (SAP) lubricants & lubricating systems & new technologies in predictive maintenance. Support continuous improvement programs through active participation in plant efficiency programs. Comply and actively participate in all safety and environmental policies procedures and programs. Perform all tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED Required; associate degree preferred.
  • 3 years of maintenance and/or HVAC related experience.
  • Preferred multi-skilled experience with HVAC systems welding mechanical systems high pressure gas systems and basic PLC skills.
  • Must have a confirmed understanding of HVAC installation and construction AC/DC motor drives gearboxes hydraulics & pneumatics systems chillers and cooling towers.
  • Able to move up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform area housekeeping duties.
  • Background in industrial systems
  • Work scheduled shift weekends and holidays as required.
  • Ability to read analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals.

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee must be aware of potential exposure to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; and high noise areas.
