What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government office location by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including reporting documentation and timely communication to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas public-facing spaces and the building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas during patrols assisting with visitor direction queue management and reporting concerns to site leadership.
• Complete routine logs incident reports and shift handoffs per post orders including observations from patrols and any security-related maintenance or hazard concerns noted.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
