We are seeking an International Transportation Planner who will be responsible for coordinating and managing the international transportation of goods across global supply chains. This includes ocean freight planning customs compliance vendor negotiation and shipment tracking to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and process accuracy supporting inbound logistics for multiple business divisions (Sports Landscape and Indoor). This role follows a hybrid schedule based out of the Calhoun GA Office and will be reporting to the Manager Customs & Logistics.

What youll do:
International Freight Planning & Coordination
Manage all international freight movements including ocean and container shipments for Morton Fiber Wildcat Fiber and overseas-sourced infill and Indoor products.
Monitor daily shipment tracking flag delays and proactively expedite or escalate issues with carriers and internal teams.
Oversee LCT (Landed Cost Tracking) entries in Syspro and ensure freight customs and product costs remain aligned.
Stay current on customs regulations trade agreements duty rates and global compliance requirements.
Carrier & Vendor Management
Lead the annual ocean freight bid process for Tarkett Sports.
Negotiate rates and contracts with international freight forwarders and carriers to optimize cost and service.
Collaborate with customs brokers and logistics partners to ensure timely clearance and delivery.
Documentation & Compliance
Ensure compliance with customs laws import/export regulations HS codes and INCOTERMS.
Review and maintain accurate documentation for international shipments and customs entries.
Cost Control & Invoice Validation
Verify audit and approve freight and customs invoices ensuring accuracy and adherence to contract terms.
Partner with Finance and AP to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper charge coding.
Reporting & Analysis
Build and maintain KPIs for international freight performance (e.g. cost per container ontime arrival dwell time).
Deliver monthly logistics performance summaries to Finance and Supply Chain leadership. Identify costsaving opportunities and process improvements based on shipment and cost trends.
What you need for success:
35 years of experience in international logistics transportation or freight forwarding.
Deep understanding of global trade regulations customs documentation and INCOTERMS.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Syspro) and strong Excel/reporting capabilities.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Strong communication and vendor negotiation skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with container tracking platforms and global shipment visibility tools.
Knowledge of landed cost modeling and freight audit workflows.
Familiarity with 3PL ocean carrier contracts and freight bidding processes.
