Job Summary

Job Title: Travel Speech Therapist (SLP Acute Care)
Location: Cumming GA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift: 8-Hour Days 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Schedule Requirement: Minimum 2 Weekends per 4 Weeks (4 Weekends Preferred)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
On-Call: Not Required
Local Radius Rule: No Local Candidates Within 50 Miles

Compensation:

Gross Weekly: $2206/week
W2 Rate: $24/hour
Weekly Stipend: $1246/week

Position Overview:

A respected acute care hospital in North Georgia is seeking an experienced Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its inpatient rehabilitation team. The SLP will evaluate and treat a diverse medical and surgical patient population in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform speech language and swallowing evaluations based on physician orders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide therapy for patients with neurological respiratory and complex medical conditions
Manage dysphagia cases and recommend appropriate diet modifications
Work collaboratively with physicians nurses respiratory therapists and rehabilitation staff
Document evaluations progress notes and discharge planning

Patient Population:

ICU patients
Stroke and other neurological conditions
Dysphagia
Respiratory compromise
Cognitive and communication disorders

Requirements:

Minimum 2 Years of Experience as a Speech Therapist within specialty (Required)
Acute Care Experience Preferred
MBS/FEES Experience a Plus (Not Required)
Ability to support diverse inpatient populations
Active Georgia SLP License (or eligibility) required
