Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement current bargaining unit employees have priority consideration for this position if they apply within seven (7) days of the posting date. After this period all applicants will be considered equally.
Primary: 3:00pm-11:30pm; Secondary: 7:00am-3:30pm
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Environmental Service Worker II cleans and services patient public clinical and administrative areas maintaining an attractive appearance in all areas. Moves furniture equipment and supplies around the Medical Center. Performs a variety of Environmental Services duties to maintain the Medical Center in a safe orderly and sanitary condition and provides the general maintenance to accomplish moves with use of manual and electrical tools. The individual responds to emergencies in regards to Medical Center operations fire safety utility failure etc. when directed to do so.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Skills Required:
1. Ability to read labels and directions is required.
2. Personal vehicle for on the job transportation may be required for some assignments.
3. Ability to do basic math sufficiently enough to mix chemicals is required.
4. High School diploma or G.E.D. is required or demonstrated ability to qualify for #1 and #3 above.
5. Completion of necessary orientation to Environmental Service Worker I required.
6. Demonstrates knowledge and maintains department standard of work as Environmental Service Worker I by passing QA scores of 95% required.
7. Ability to use various size ladders required.
8. Valid drivers license preferred.
9. Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direction/supervision to complete task required.
10. Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers with an open line of communication required.
