Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Rover Driver in Austin TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a dynamic tech and telecom location conducting routine patrols maintaining a visible presence and responding to alarms and incidents with calm clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license and an armed guard card or license. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols at regular and random intervals throughout buildings parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.
- Monitor access points and manage entry and exit for employees contractors and visitors including verifying authorization and directing individuals to the appropriate destinations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalating confrontations requesting assistance as needed and completing required notifications.
- Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 Years Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree.
- An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
- Be at least 21 Years of Age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
