About Aladdin Data & the Next Generation Security Master Platform

Data is at the core of Aladdins differentiation. The Aladdin Data (AD) organization manages BlackRocks enterprise-wide data ecosystem and operates the Aladdin Enterprise Data Platform (EDP)the foundation for delivering high-quality consistent and trusted data across the firm.

Within AD Security Master is a critical domain responsible for managing the full lifecycle of tradable instruments including equities fixed income derivatives digital assets and private assets.

To support emerging business needs and future growth we are launching a multi-year initiative to build the Next Generation Security Master (NGSM) platform fundamentally transforming how instrument data is created governed and distributed across Aladdin.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the engineering team working on the Next Generation Security Master platform you will:

• Design and develop highly scalable high-performance applications for security data platforms and services
• Apply strong software engineering best practices across the full development lifecyclefrom design to production
• Build and maintain resilient backend services and APIs supporting critical enterprise workflows
• Collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders across multiple offices and geographies
• Ensure platform stability through code reviews unit testing regression testing UAT and DevOps practices
• Participate in production support (Level 2) to maintain reliability of mission-critical systems

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
• 4 years of hands-on experience building enterprise-grade software systems
• Strong programming expertise in Java with experience building microservices using frameworks such as Spring / Spring Boot
• Experience developing REST and/or gRPC APIs
• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Strong understanding of open-source technologies (Spring Hibernate Maven JUnit etc.)
• Solid grasp of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work as a self-starter strong team player and quick learner

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred)
• Familiarity with Kafka Cassandra Docker Kubernetes
• Exposure to additional programming languages such as C or Go (Golang)
• Experience using caching technologies (Apache Ignite Redis) to build low-latency scalable platforms
• Knowledge of financial markets investments and securities data

Our hybrid work model
