Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiopulmonary ICU (CCU)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse with strong background in CCU or CVICU settings. This role requires advanced cardiac critical care expertise due to the complexity of patients and use of specialized cardiac devices.
The unit manages high-acuity cardiac and medical intensive care patients along with occasional step-down overflow cases.
Patient Population & Clinical Scope
Cardiac and medical ICU patients
Post-cardiac surgery patients (not directly from OR)
Pre/Post cardiac catheterization and interventions
Step-down overflow patients
Advanced Device Experience Required
Candidates must have hands-on experience managing:
LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device)
Impella
IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
Temporary Ventricular Pacemaker (TVP)
Mechanical Ventilation
CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
Invasive lines and hemodynamic monitoring
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong cardiac ICU (CCU/CVICU) experience
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Sheath removal
Hemodynamic monitoring
Management of high-acuity cardiac diagnoses
Care of patients requiring advanced cardiac support devices
Required Certifications
Active RN License
BLS
ACLS
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Dysrhythmia interpretation competency
Schedule Requirements
Night Shift
3x12-hour shifts
2:1 patient ratio
No block scheduling
