Your role and responsibilities
You will provide leadership professional guidance and line management to the Brokerage Team including participation in the weekend and bank holiday rota.
You will support the Strategic Commissioning and Contract Managers as well as the wider Adult Social Care (ASC) management team to develop effective operational practice manage demand appropriately identify costsaving opportunities and achieve improved outcomes for customers.
A key focus of the role is to analyse plan design implement and evaluate new ways of working. You will work closely with the ASC Strategic Planning and Resources team area teams and a wide range of care providers across Residential and Nursing Care Home Care Supported Housing Community Support and Housing Related Support services.
You will offer the Brokerage Team continuous coaching advice and guidance - both formally and informally - on staffing matters and frontline practice.

The team
The Brokerage Team is responsible for sourcing care services for individuals with eligible needs. Acting as the central point of contact for all Social Care placements in Suffolk the team works across Adult Social Care and collaborates closely with care providers social care professionals and health colleagues.
The teams work is vital in reducing waiting times and ensuring people receive the right care intervention promptly.
Their purpose is to maximise preventative outcomes safeguard vulnerable people and support customers by arranging care swiftly and safely. The team plays a pivotal role in ensuring care needs are met by supporting frontline staff securing suitable providers producing agreements and reporting key business activity.
