Job Summary

MMWEC is seeking energetic hardworking individuals for our Summer Help positions within the Facilities Department. This is a seasonal role only perfect for students looking for a consistent summer job to return to year after year. If you enjoy working outdoors and want to earn a competitive wage while staying active this is the perfect fit. Youll be the boots on the groundmaintaining our campus and ensuring our solar fields are clear and operational.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Precision Mowing: Operate diesel mowers to maintain the MMWEC campus and specialized solar fields.
  • Solar Field Care: Mowing and clearing vegetation around solar arrays to ensure maximum energy production.
  • Facilities Support: Assist the maintenance team with seasonal campus upkeep and landscaping projects.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic daily checks on mowers and tools to keep operations running safely.

Youre a Great Fit If You Have:

  • Heat Tolerance: You are comfortable working outdoors in the summer heat and sun (sunscreen and hydration are a must!).
  • Physical Strength: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle the physical nature of groundskeeping.
  • Equipment Comfort: Experience operating (or a strong willingness to learn) diesel mowers and power tools.
  • Reliability: A strong work ethic and the ability to be on-site 5 days a week during the summer season.
  • Safety Mindset: Ability to follow strict safety protocols while working around high-voltage solar infrastructure.
