This position will lead the development and execution of long-term facility strategies ensuring alignment with corporate goals.

Primary Activities/Duties:
  • Lead the development and execution of a long-term facilities strategy that supports overall company objectives.
  • Oversee facility projects from design through implementation including managing budgets timelines and resources.
  • Design install and manage facility systems such as HVAC electrical plumbing and energy management to ensure they are safe efficient and compliant with regulations.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of all facility equipment and systems.
  • Ensure all facilities and operations comply with relevant health safety and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor facility performance identify areas for improvement and implement new technologies or methodologies to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
  • Develop and manage facility budgets and coordinate with and manage external contractors and vendors.
  • Work with other departments such as operations and maintenance to ensure facility engineering solutions are seamlessly integrated with daily operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in engineering or Facilities Management.
  • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC electrical plumbing) automation and energy management.
  • Strong project management skills including budgeting and timeline management.
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations codes and standards.
  • Minimum of 10 years of diversified hands-on new facility start-ups.
  • Experience in working with sheet metal fabrication/manufacturing and engineering professionals preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certified Black Belt preferred.
  • Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office products and SAP is preferred.

Work Environment:
Must work in both office and plant floor environment.

Physical Requirements:
Requires long durations on the manufacturing floor and/or long durations in the office at a computer. Stand walk bend twist and reach frequently throughout the work shift. Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds waist level.

Mental Requirements:
Work in a fast-paced environment adapt to assignment changes easily ability to multi-task learn office procedures and learn and use new software. Must be detailed oriented; communicate effectively via oral and written with all levels of vendors and colleagues.

Safety Requirements:
Wear safety-toed footwear safety glasses with side shields hearing protection and additional personal protective equipment where required.

Direction & Decision Making:
Complete directives given either verbally or written make and assist in determining logical decisions.

Direct Contacts: Vice President - Operations Managers Supervisors Global Rittal Production Engineer teams.
Indirect Contacts: All other departments Rittal LLC plant and logistics.
