How you will contribute

A Radiology Technician Student who excels in this role:

• must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of anatomy. The technologist must demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill and understanding of image quality.

• Must be able to communicate to patients the nature of the tests and relieve their anxiety.
  

• Must demonstrate an understanding of Radiographic Positioning Radiographic Technique Radiation Safety Imaging Equipment Infection Control and Quality Control techniques.
  

• Presents a pleasant and helpful manner to patients physicians subordinates and other members of the department staff.
  

• Assists in maintaining a work area free from hazards.
  

• The student radiologic technologist must perform routine diagnostic imaging studies as needed. Must vary work schedule.
  

• The patient population ranges from neonate pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric. The student radiologic technologist must provide services to all patients families and physicians serving this population.

• Ensures that patient examinations are performed in an accurate and timely manner; not to exceed 30 minutes. Provides accurate patient positioning computer entries and filming.

What we are looking for:

High school graduate or equivalent.

• Must be working on completion of a bachelors degree Diploma or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology (verification from school is required).
• BLS Required
