A vacancy will arise for a FS/Chf Tech (Any) to serve as FS Reserves Recruiting at RAFC Cranwell on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 03 August 2026 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status and position being vacated).
RAF R&S Mission is to recruit the high-quality people needed to sustain RAF Operational capability today and into the future. The Main Effort is to maximise delivery against the ITR/ITT. FS Reserves Recruiting will work within HQ R&S Reserves Recruiting Team to support Reserve Support Wings (RSWs) and Royal Auxiliary Air Force (RAuxAF) Sqns to select and recruit Part-Time Volunteer Reservists (PTVRs).
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- A subject matter expert for RAF Reserve recruiting and liaising with Reserve Support Wings (RSWs) and Sqns to ensure a consistent approach to recruitment delivery.
- Formalising RAF Reserves recruiting policy and processes through incorporation within AP3391.
- Providing end-to-end processing support to RSWs and Sqns.
- Maintaining effective liaison with RPMC staff to ensure Reserves policy is adhered to and embedded within R&S recruiting processes and any relevant recruiting Policy and Process are included in AP3392 Vol 7.
- Coordinating required training and course allocation for RAuxAF recruiters.
- Disseminating all policy & process changes to RAuxAF recruiters in a timely manner.
- Ensuring Specialisation Information Publications (SIPs) and Specialisation Selection Sheets (SSSs) for Reserves remain current and accurate.
- Actioning Executive Medical Waivers (EMWs) and providing associated advice and guidance.
- Oversight of a Corporate Governance (CG) process across RSWs and Sqns ensuring SMEs are supported and providing direction as required.
- Providing advice guidance and support to the Armed Forces Recruitment Service Team during the transition to implementation on 1 Apr 27.
- Implementing measures procedures and initiatives to meet RAF Reserves recruiting targets.
- Producing briefs statistics and reports related to RAF Reserves recruitment.
- Supporting external engagement events as required.
- Deputising for WO/SO3 Reserves Recruiting during periods of absence and undertaking associated duties.
- Reporting Officer for 2 x SNCOs & 6 x JNCOs
