As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Design and develop secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others.
- Provide guidance to software engineers on daily tasks and activities.
- Serve as an integral member of the development team to create practical solutions in Agile/DevOps environments.
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate clearly with stakeholders and present ideas effectively.
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineer concepts and 5 years applied experience.
- Experience in building data pipelines using Apache Spark with proficiency in Java utilizing platforms such as AWS or Databricks.
- Advanced proficiency in Core Java and Java EE application development.
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform. 3 years implementing data pipelines on Databricks including use of Unity Catalog Databricks Workflows and Delta Live Tables.
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security.
- Experience with database programming to design and build enterprise-scale and high-volume Oracle data processing applications using packages procedurestriggers PL/SQL Java Stored Procedures.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS/Databricks.
- Experience with Oracle SQL optimization and troubleshooting performance .
- Ability to work under pressure and take ownership of issues. Sense of urgency to solve problems and propose solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to multi-task proactive and attention to detail.
