Digital Enterprise Strategist

The House of Commons Digital Services and Real Property is currently looking to staff the Digital Enterprise Strategist position.

This recruitment and selection process is restricted to House of Commons employees at the ADG-B level and up.

The Digital Enterprise Strategist provides senior-level leadership in defining and advancing the strategic direction for Enterprise Digital Domain (EDD) solutions across the House of Commons. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise digital strategies and roadmaps that align client needs organizational priorities and the broader House of Commons and DSRP strategic plans. Acting as a recognized authority within their digital domain the Strategist ensures long-term alignment traceability and value realization across digital product lines.

Working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams the Digital Enterprise Strategist influences enterprise-wide digital standards policies and best practices and provides strategic advice to senior leadership including Director Generals and the Chief Information Officer. The Digital Enterprise Strategist will focus on enabling efficient platform adoption championing platform engineering approaches that reduce toil and streamline developer workflows. The role leads the assessment of emerging technologies and enterprise initiatives supports governance and decision-making and promotes successful adoption of digital solutions by ensuring integration reliability and alignment with evolving organizational needs.

Qualifications :

Education :

• Successful completion of a college or university degree in Information Technology system engineering innovation management or another related field or an acceptable combination of education technical training and experience.

Experiences :

• Experience providing senior-level strategic and technical leadership for a defined family of application platforms or technologies (ServiceNow Prism Azure Unit4 or comparable) in support of enterprise or product-centric digital strategies;
• Experience developing owning and maintaining enterprise digital roadmaps for a specific technology domain translating long-term vision into executable initiatives outcomes and adoption plans;
• Experience providing strategic advice and direction to senior management on complex technology platform or enterprise architecture matters including recommendations that inform decision-making and future-state vision;
• Experience collaborating across product lines domains and multidisciplinary teams to guide the design integration and adoption of solutions aligned with enterprise technology direction;
• Experience establishing evolving and promoting enterprise standards best practices and governance frameworks for a defined technology domain or application platform;
• Experience assessing emerging technologies industry trends and organizational impacts within a technology family to inform strategic direction investment decisions and long-term planning.

Assets :

• Experience applying government or House of Commons IT policies directives and governance frameworks;
• Experience with enterprise architecture cloud or hybrid infrastructure strategies and large-scale system integration;
• Experience incorporating cybersecurity risk management and compliance considerations into enterprise digital strategies;
• Experience working with Agile DevOps or CI/CD delivery environments to support enterprise-wide digital initiatives.
