Position Summary:
The Badge Office Lead is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the badge office ensuring adherence to quality control standards developing and refining processes and providing oversight of badge office administrators. This role involves leading efforts to manage workload distribution tracking and resolving JIRA ticketing system issues and mentoring junior badge administrators to foster professional growth. The Badge Office Lead is instrumental in streamlining operations maintaining compliance standards and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control & Process Development
- Ensure all badge issuance reissuance and deactivation processes comply with company policies security requirements and industry standards.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in badge office workflows and implement necessary updates.
- Conduct regular quality audits of badge-related transactions and document findings.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the badge office to reflect best practices.
Oversight of Badge Office Administrators
- Provide guidance support and supervision to a team of badge office administrators fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Monitor team performance assign tasks and provide timely feedback to ensure completion of daily and long-term objectives.
- Facilitate training and onboarding for new badge office staff ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge.
- Resolve escalated issues in a professional and timely manner.
JIRA Ticket Management
- Oversee the badge offices JIRA ticketing system to monitor prioritize and resolve requests.
- Distribute workload efficiently and effectively among team members ensuring timely responses to ticket requests.
- Track ticket metrics and generate reports to identify trends backlog issues and areas for improvement.
Team Mentorship & Leadership
- Act as a mentor to junior badge administrators providing guidance on career development skill improvement and operational knowledge.
- Encourage a culture of accountability and professionalism among team members.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource on badge-related systems policies and advanced issue resolution techniques.
Compliance & Security
- Enforce badge access policies and procedures to maintain security compliance.
- Collaborate with security teams and leadership to address access control issues as needed.
- Ensure the confidentiality and accuracy of sensitive data related to personnel identification and access.
Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the primary liaison between the badge office team and other departments (e.g. IT HR Facilities Security).
- Provide regular updates to leadership on key metrics challenges and accomplishments.
- Develop and deliver reports analyzing workload ticket resolution times and specific issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in badge/access management process improvement or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to oversee mentor and evaluate a team.
- Proficient in JIRA ticketing systems or similar request/task management platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple workflows and competing deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written.
- High degree of confidentiality professionalism and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with access control systems including Genetec and Verkada.
- Experience creating or revising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Previous experience working in a corporate security or facilities management setting.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and security best practices.
Skills and Competencies:

- Strong analytical and process improvement mindset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or other productivity tools.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced dynamic work environment.
The Shift Security Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer. The Security Shift Supervisor will act as a liaison between site supervisor Account Manager/Field Operations Manager and professional security officers. Supervise staff on assigned shift providing coaching recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years verifiable experience
- Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
- Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat legible handwriting;
- Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Driving Positions: must possess a valid Drivers License with at least one year of driving experience a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months no more than 1 accident in last 24 months no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months) a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
- As a condition of employment employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test may be required to pass Drivers Record check
- Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative wireless technology at client specific sites
- Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently
